![]() ![]() The movie was indeed a must watch, and I am in awe of a lot of things that happened in it. There are several things that I want to point out in this review. But even with this knowledge, she never let go of her present, choosing to drop all her ‘what ifs’ and continuing live the life she has, no matter how unhappy and discontented she is. Conflict arose when Tin finally admits to herself that after all the years passed, she was still lost and unhappy. And with that being said, everything around her started crumbling down, along with it is her relationship with Raf.įast forward to the present, Tin and Raf saw each other once again, both successful in their chosen careers. She was lost with all that had happened to her. ![]() She was an actual example of a young adult experiencing a post-graduation syndrome, an earthling sent to hunt for food on her own. Tin and Raf are two young individuals who see the world differently yet eventually fell in love with one another.īeing the idealist she is, Tin, after graduating lands on a job she never thought would bring chaos to her life. He is a realistic yet optimistic young man who thinks every problem comes with a solution. On the other hand, Raf (played by Enrique) is a medical student from University of Santo Tomas. She graduated a Magna Cum Laude and was an over-achiever. She is an idealistic young woman who dreamt of changing the world. Tin (played by Liza) is an Arts major student studying at the University of the Philippines. I’ve seen in Tin’s character the struggle of slowly building up your passion and how you’ve kept it as your identity only to end up losing it losing a big part of you, right before your own eyes just because of circumstances you never thought would happen. ![]() What I meant when I said found myself in her was her struggle. No, I was not from UP and lastly no, I did not graduate as a Magna Cum Laude. To say I was able to relate to Tin’s story is an understatement– I found myself in Tin. Other than the fact that I admire Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil‘s acting abilities, I kind of sensed that I would be able to relate to the story, and I was not mistaken. The moment I saw the teaser, I was dead set to watching Alone/Together. PLUS, some parts may have SPOILERS in it. You may or may not agree with everything written in here, but I just want to give some few notes that might help you if you still haven’t watched the movie.
